Ideal for sponge puddings, chocolate mousse or suet puddings. Individual summer puddings, rice portions for great presentation and pretty much anything you like.

The significant factor in the Silverwood bakeware range is in the core material which draws-in all available heat and distributes it evenly throughout the pan, leaving no scorched hot-spots or part-cooked soggy areas. Unlike a lot of bakeware, Silverwood is not coated in a non stick coating i.e PTFE which can deteriorate with use. Frequent use of Silverwood bakeware actually enhances the quality of the surface. After each use the surface captures and retains a microscopic film of lubricant which builds up to form a 'Patina'. By following the standard care and use instructions, (i.e avoiding dishwashers and strong detergents) this patina will produce significantly improved release properties. If, at any time, the patina is removed (for example over-zealous washing) normal use will cause the build up to start again with no long-term detriment.
Cooking with some fats and oils may produce a light discolouration of the surface. This is normal and will actually enhance the release properties of the bakeware.

Silverwood bakeware should NEVER be put in the dishwasher.
Before use, wash in warm soapy water. After use, washing in warm soapy water with a nylon washing-up brush will usually be enough.
Metal utensils such as whisks and spoons can be used without damaging the bakeware although surgical steel knives may cut into the surface.
